I'm here today with a birthday window card using a dahlia stamp from Penny Black.
I finally got my hands on some Distress Paint so I coloured white card stock with Spun Sugar, Barn Door and Mustard Seed and stamped the Dahlia image on top and cut it out. Love how summery these colours are. I definitely want to play some more with these paints.
Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate each and every comment left on my blog.

Tag Challenge at A Blog Named Hero
It's the 15th today so that means there's a new challenge up at A Blog Named Hero and this challenge is all about tags.
I really wanted to use some Stitched Brads from Basic Grey on my tag so my whole design was made around them and the colours of red, pool and yellow.
For the bottom portion of the tag I white embossed the Lattice Background and painted over it with Twinkling H2O's. Love the soft shimmer from these paints. I really must remember to use them more often on my projects.
With a little bit of stamping using the Leafy Vines image and a big and bold sentiment my tag was done.
Please hop over to the ABNH blog to see the tags made by the other Design Team Members and play along with our challenge. You have two weeks to submit a project and you have a chance to win a gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

One Layer Birthday
It's a one layer card today using some Penny Black stamps. I don't make one layer cards very often but I do love the the process of simple stamping like this, it's very relaxing and therapeutic.
This card uses different ocean shades with three sizes of these cute little flower/starburst images. I wanted to bling up the card so I added clear gems to some images and coloured in the flower centres with a Stardust Pen for the others. Love the sparkle.
Thanks for visiting and wishing you an inky day!

Birthday Flowers
Today I played around with some Distress Inks, getting all inky and sparkly in the process. It was total happiness!
My centre panel was inked with Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves and sprayed liberally with Perfect Pearls. If you could only see the shimmer in person, it is divine!
I embossed the flowers with Silver Pearl, which is actually white with a slight pearly tinge. The cool thing about this embossing powder is that it shows up white on white card stock but on coloured paper it picks up a slight hue from the paper.
The background was also stamped with some pearlescent ink. I am in a shimmery mood today :)
Wishing you a sparkly day !
